Sumatriptan 50 mg Tablets

Sumatriptan is a medication used to treat symptoms of migraines and cluster headaches by constricting blood vessels in the brain, reducing pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Available in tablet, injection, or nasal spray form, it should be taken promptly after symptoms appear, though it is not for regular use. While mild and temporary side effects like dizziness and nausea may occur, any severe reactions should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

Each tablet contains either 50 mg or 100 mg of sumatriptan (in the form of sumatriptan succinate).
Additional components comprise croscarmellose sodium (E468), polysorbate 80 (E433), calcium hydrogen phosphate (E450), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium hydrogen carbonate (E500), and magnesium stearate (E470b).

Do not use Sumatriptan if you are allergic or to ingredients, have specific heart conditions, circulation problems, or a history of stroke. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially ergotamine, other triptans, SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, or St. John's Wort. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before using Sumatriptan. Seek medical help if you experience chest pain after taking Sumatriptan. Also, do not exceed the recommended dose of 300 mg in a 24-hour period.
