Cerazette 75 microgram tablets

Cerazette, one of the most popular birth control pills, contains desogestrel, a progestogen hormone.
These pills work by thickening the cervical mucus to prevent sperm movement, and by changing the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg.
It is over 99% effective when taken correctly and provides continuous protection against pregnancy, making it suitable for women who cannot use estrogen-containing pills.
Cerazette is taken daily without interruption.

Each tablet of Cerazette contains:

Main ingredient: Desogestrel (75 micrograms)
Additional ingredients: colloidal anhydrous silica, all-rac-α-tocopherol forms, maize starch, povidone, stearic acid, hypromellose, macrogol 400, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), lactose monohydrate.

Cerazette is generally well tolerated, but like any medication, it may cause some side effects. Common side effects include:

mood changes

depressed mood

decreased sexual desire

headache

nausea

young love

Breast pain, irregular or absent menstrual periods

weight gain

Less common side effects include:

infections

Discomfort when using contact lenses

vomiting

hair loss

ovarian cysts

feeling tired
