Wegovy (Semaglutide) Injections

Administer Wegovy subcutaneously, starting with 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks, followed by dose increases to 0.5 mg, 1 mg, and 1.7 mg once weekly at successive 4-week intervals, with a possible further increase to 2.4 mg once weekly after a further 4 weeks if necessary, with discontinuation of treatment if weight loss is not achieved after 12 weeks. Wegovy should be injected subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, with the injection site being variable without dose adjustment, and should not be given intravenously or intramuscularly.
